It was a quiet afternoon in a small settlement near the city outskirts. The Rekhant Foundation food van arrived, just like every weekend. Among the crowd stood a young mother, holding her son close. She hadn’t eaten in two days. Her eyes spoke of exhaustion, but also of courage — the kind that refuses to give up.
When our volunteers handed her a warm meal packet, she didn’t just take it — she paused, whispered a soft “thank you,” and shared half of it with an old man beside her. That single act reminded everyone around that compassion multiplies when shared.
Our food distribution drives started as a local initiative during tough times, but today they serve hundreds of families weekly. Each meal delivered is more than nutrition — it’s a message that someone cares, that no one is forgotten.
Through your support, we’ve been able to continue feeding hope where hunger once ruled. Because for many, survival starts with a single meal — and that meal can be the beginning of a new story.
“Hunger doesn’t wait — and neither should kindness.”
